Drew Owen is the founder of CodeWrd, an Agentic AI strategy consulting firm built on the recognition that business is entering the greatest transformation of our lifetime. As technology rapidly reshapes industries, Drew helps leaders find clarity and build strategies that deliver results. With more than 20 years of high-level negotiation, business development, finance, and digital marketing experience, he brings a grounded perspective on how to turn disruption into growth.

Drew began his career at Merrill Lynch as a Series 7 stockbroker before becoming a Registered Investment Advisor. He then built a career as an MLBPA-Certified Agent, representing more than 60 players across every Major League Baseball team as well as international leagues in Japan, Korea, Mexico, and Australia. Over a decade, he negotiated more than $100 million in contracts and brand partnerships with companies like Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, and Lululemon.

After professional sports, Drew spent eight years running a digital marketing firm, where he oversaw sales and operations while advising executives during one of the most unpredictable business climates in modern history. From the COVID-19 pandemic to the Great Resignation and inflationary pressures, he worked directly with decision makers to adapt strategy, trained teams to see analytics as the backbone of online growth, and partnered with developers around the world to help companies stay competitive as the digital landscape shifted overnight.

In 2022, he saw a turning point when Google began prioritizing helpful, user-focused content over the traditional system of chasing keywords and volume. It was one of the first clear signals of how AI would change marketing and business strategy, and it confirmed the need for leaders to rethink how they operate in a new digital era.

Today, Drew's work sits at the intersection of business strategy and real AI systems. While much of the market focuses on tools, prompts, and surface-level automation, his focus is on something more fundamental: how decisions actually get made inside organizations.

Through CodeWrd, Drew works with leadership teams to design and deploy decision infrastructure. These systems preserve context, reduce friction, and improve outcomes across workflows, departments, and time. This work is not about bolting AI onto existing processes. It is about rebuilding how intelligence flows through the business so people can make better decisions, faster, and with less noise.
